AMSTERDAM Spring 2011
So many things are going on right now. I have been working real hard on new music that will be out really soon. We also recorded a great video clip (thanks to Finn Szumlas who did the regie, to Philip van Gils who did the camera work and to Sjardé who did the make-up) It all will be out soon and to be seen on my - special designed for the new music - website. More news will follow! :-)

AMSTERDAM November 2010 New recordings
I already started recording some of my unreleased songs at Mokosound Studio last March and with some new recordings in Wedgeview Studio this month I finally hope to get some real work done! Working on a new album with new concepts & ideas - who knows what this will bring :-) Enjoying it a lot! To be continued...

Check the video for an impression, this is the recording of some backing vocals for my song NEW DAY - with Julia van de Ketterij, Alexander Brinks and Shirma Rouse. Track is greaty played by Salle de Jonge (drums) Hugo den Oudsten (bass) and Budy Mokoginta (guitars) recorded at Mokosound Studio- backings recorded at Wedgeview Studio thanks to Roeland Jacobs.

HAARLEM JAZZ August 2010
I had a really great time singing at Haarlem Jazz last week on the 19th of August. We played at the main stage on the Grote Markt! Never performed on such a huge stage before, at least not as a solo artist, only as a backing vocalist with other artist. Anyway: it was a great experience! I loved it and the show went really well with a special feature from Michiel Borstlap. He was the "artist in residence" on this stage and invited me to do a more than one hour show in between his own performances that night. One of my favourite jazz standards, just so beautifully played by Miles, gave me the inspiration to go back in time virtually and sing this song with him as if we were playing a duet. While doing this, at some point it really felt like we were playing together and it almost seemed as if he responded as well to my lines as I did to his...like he was really there alive...Something that I would have loved to do for real :-) Hope you all enjoy the video!
